Successful Completion of Workshop on Leadership Training for Academic Management and the Role of CETL for Academic Excellence

The IQAC would like to share that, in cooperation with the Office of the Registrar, the IQAC of GUB has successfully completed a half-day workshop on ‘Leadership Training for Academic Management and the Role of CETL for Academic Excellence’ on Tuesday, 20th February 2024 (1:30 pm to 4:30 pm) at Syndicate Room (A-409) of GUB. Respected members of AMCC of GUB were present at the program.

Prof. Osama Khan, Honorable Pro Vice Chancellor, Aston University of Birmingham, UK, delivered his speech as the keynote speaker. In the first keynote session, Prof. Osama Khan’s deep knowledge, insight, and visionary ideas benefited the audience, enhancing their understanding of leadership and management skills, academic and administrative management organogram, responsibilities, and progression ways of development as a leader. In the second keynote session, Prof. Osama also shared his thoughts on how a university can achieve academic excellence.

Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Former Vice-Chancellor and Distinguished Professor, Green Business School, delivered his speech and discussed how CETL has developed at Green University and facilitated young faculty members on teaching and learning activities. He thanked the keynote speaker for delivering a wonderful session.

Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Honorable Vice Chancellor (Acting) of GUB, delivered his speech as the Chief Guest. He discussed the values required for leadership in the management sector and thanked the keynote speaker for sharing beneficial ideas and thoughts.

Lastly, Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Azad, Director of IQAC and Dean, Faculty of Science & Engineering, extended a vote of thanks to the presenter, anchor Madam Sumaiya Afreen, all the participants, and the organizing team.
