Algorithm design, particularly using hybrid AI algorithms  (including traditional machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, adaptive learning, optimisation, fusion, natural language processing& ontology) to address the challenges around:

  • Medical informatics, medical image processing, self-health diagnosis & management, bioinformatics, optimal cancer treatment modelling, automatic personalised lifestyle programme generation for prevention or post-treatment patients (linked with obesity, heard diseases, diabetes) etc.
  • Other areas associated with medical as well as other domains: Big data, cyber security, game & gamification, mobile & IoT enabled expert systems, personal cyber assistant, engineering/business process optimisation etc.
  • Overall target but not limited to: investigation into the development of ‘Intelligent Decision Support Systems’ for any domain.
