Specifications:
I have worked in several projects focusing acoustic analyses on tense/lax vowel production in L2 English pronunciation by L1 Bengali speaking subjects, fricatives swapping between Chapai, a regional dialect, and standard dialect in Bengali language spoken in Bangladesh, study on temporal and spectral cues employing larger-scale corpus analyses of L2 English etc. under the supervision of my undergraduate course-teacher and research mentor Dr. Jahurul Islam. Latest in 2025, we are studying visual and acoustic cues during vowel production of L2 English by L1 Bengali speakers.
